Dark Patterns: Are We The Baddies?

New wave of global initiatives regulating cyberspace indicating the end of a sovereignty. The virtual space, once a source to innovation and new ideas, is growing hostile, harming the wellbeing of people and institutions all over the world. IT community however is critical to these regulations, warning for the loss of personal privacy and the technical inadequacy of the applications used. In a peak smartphone era, also the concept of personal privacy has been changing, making it more to an elusive dream than the real goal for practical policy making. What is our role in a good governance and how to look for a balance between data protection, openness, innovation and safety of the people around us?
