“GrapheneOS is a privacy and security focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility developed as a non-profit open source project. It’s focused on the research and development of privacy and security technology including substantial improvements to sandboxing, exploit mitigations and the permission model.” - grapheneos.org

In this session we will dive into mobile phone security. What we want to protect, who we want to protect it from, and how GrapheneOS helps both from a privacy and from a security perspective. We will dive into topics like sandboxing, MAC address randomization, permissions, JIT, pogo pins, and memory allocators.

If you don’t know some of these things, don’t fret, everything will be explained. The purpose of the session is to help people make informed choices about their phones.
