Qubes OS introduction

Qubes OS, a “reasonably secure operating system” aims to achieve security by isolation. It is based on the Xen hypervisor and enables the creation of virtual machines, in which the user’s applications are run.
In this presentation I will dive into what Qubes OS is, what are its goals, and what makes it special compared to just running VMs on another operating system, including its template system, integration of applications into one common desktop, secure clipboard and file transfer between VMs and much more.
I will also share my experience of using Qubes as a daily driver for over 4 years, and thoughts about where Qubes can be used, from healthcare to journalism.
The presentation will also feature a live demonstration of Qubes OS: how it works and its various features.
